Venue and logistics

The meeting will take place at the Hotel St Paul, situated on the sea front, within walking distance to the port.

The meeting room can accomodate up to 120 people.

Accomodation: 

Accomodation is available either directy at the Hotel Le Saint Paul, or in the lively neighborhood of the harbor (eg. of hotels accessible from Goelett: Ibis Style Nice Centre Port, Hotel du Pin, ...)

Conference dinner:

In the evening of the 25th of Marc, there will be a visit to the l'Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur with a conference dinner under the large refractor dome. Busses will bring the participants from the conference venue around 18:00, to the Observatoire, and back around 22:30 or 23:00.

Please bear in mind that the dome is not heated, so come with warm clothes (even in Nice, evenings in March can be quite chilly).

Travel to and within Nice:

Nice can be reached by train (ex: 5h45 from Paris; ~ 4h30 from Lyon) or by plane (the airport is very close to the city). 

To reach the venue from the train station (Nice-Ville) or from the airport, there are efficient tram lines (Aéroport - Port-Lympia, ~30mn; Gare-Thiers - Port-Lympia changing once ~ 17mn). From the Port, the venue is easily reached walking, but there is also a bus (98) every ~ 15mn. All information on public transport in Nice is on Ligne d'Azur.
